Trying to buy the right XRF X-ray gun to check SS sheets. 304 vs 316 vs 201 vs 430. Any recommendations? Used guns?

Thanks.

The DELTAs on here will do metals. Some of the Niton will also do "Alloys".

I always do just minerals with my XRF; other might be better counsel.

Hi Alex, I would have a look at the Olympus Delta Element, it's a reliable low cost XRF analyzer that is ideal for SS identification.

Thanks Dominique,

Alex:

  • the Element will do what you want.
  • The DELTA Classic Plus does what the Element does + more.
  • The DELTA Professional does what the DELTA Classic Plus does + more.
  • The DELTA Premium does everything.

Ebay has several used XRF.
