Which portable type of instrument can be use for checking the optical and chemical parameters of minerals at Mines site.

  1. Optical parameter specially Brightness .
  2. Chemical parameters like Al2O3 , Fe2O3, CaO , MgO , SiO2 etc .

Hello Ashutosh, Judging by your chemical suite and the fact you're after brightness I assume you are working on a carbonate deposit?

In addition to David's suggestion, it's also worth looking at a handheld laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy analyser: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser-induced_breakdown_spectroscopy. This should be better than a handheld XRF at the lighter elements.

Similarly, there's handheld brightness meters available for quick results that you could calibrate against a more accurate measurement.
