Camera to Monitor and Control Crusher Product Size Distribut ... (6 replies)

Hi there, I am looking at trying a feed size distribution camera to allow for better grinding performance.
By monitoring my crusher P80 discharge product size and controlling my variable, I can surely control and improve my grinding circuit tonnage. Feed belt -110mm ore.

In my research I only came up with one company doing rock image recognition/analysis. I would like to approach a couple for an idea on costing, timing, etc. I would be grateful if anyone can suggest or recommend vendors.

Is this the sort of thing you are looking for? Momentum is a completely automated analysis system for measuring the size distribution of unconsolidated material on multiple conveyor belts in real time without disrupting production. This technology is highly configurable and performs well in harsh industrial environments for process automation and historical reference. http://wipware.com algorithms along with the latest computers allow for our systems to analyze up to 4 images per second.

Thanks for posting this, and anyone else working with feed size distribution, please keep me posted on the success of your search and results if you can. For development work being done on SAG control, feed size distribution is going to be critical.
Take a close look at system capability for detecting minus 75 or minus 50 mm particles.
Is 110 mm your top size?

Here's another vendor: http://www.spliteng.com/split-online/

Northparkes use a sizing system on the SAG mill feed (although the feed size is quite low for a SAG mill circa 25 to 30mm). Not sure of the brand they use but you should contact them.
Here is a 3D feed belt system. For those interested http://www.kscape.com
You know WipWare is the leading supplier of fragmentation analysis systems, with distributors worldwide to suit your needs.
