What is a good reference for the dimensioning of these types of crusher: gyratory, cone, VSI, HSI?

It depends on characteristics of material such as: hardness, feed PSD, feed top size, capacity, BWi, Ai and other comminution tests. Could you provide more details?

Locate various manufacturers’ handbooks. Metso Minerals has published very good applications manual for crushers, mills and host of other unit operations.

Such as mentioned before, this depends on: the initial size, final size, next use, mineralogical characteristics, etc. In the case of VSI has limitations for some sizes, typically selected for materials with crystallographic evidence megascopic and reduce fine size excessive (clays or micaceous materials)
