Pulverizing black basalt gravel (3 replies and 1 comment)

Dear folks,

I have been using coffee grinders and blenders to pulverize black basalt scoria gravel into powder sand for agriculture experiments but have been burning through blades after five or six cups of gravel.  What is the best way to do this on a large scale?  I can't yet afford a puck mill and am wondering if there is a stainless steel blade blender or processor that will last, or something better to try.

Thanks,

Jim
