What is the best way to clean hpgr rollers? (6 replies)

Hello good time
I am the hpgr operator of a pelletizing plant.

Thank you for answering some of my questions

One of the major problems in HPGR is the concentration of the concentrate on the rollers. What do you think is the best solution to eliminate this problem?

Umm, the HPGR tyres (what you are calling the rollers) are supposed to look like that.  The rock layer is used as wear protection for the surface of the tyre, only the tops of the metal studs should be visible, with rock particles packed into the spaces between the studs.

I mean the same HPGR tyres

I do not want to accumulate concentrate around the studs on the surface of the HPGR tyres. Cleaning the surface of the tyres is a difficult task. You have to spend a lot of time cleaning the surface every time.

What do you think can be the best solution for cleaning tire surfaces?
Or does cleaning the tire surface around the studs have an effect on the concentrate Blaine؟

As Alex implied the main impact on regular cleaning would be to reduce the wear life of the HPGR.  The fines will repack fairly quickly, but during that time extra wear and stress will be placed on the body of the HPGR.  There should be minimal impact on the ore, with or without cleaning.

Good day alitorabi1369,

I agree with the above responses. Can you elaborate on the concentration of the concentrate on the rollers?

Or give me a call (+31621401343)?

The HPGR  rolls are applied with oil but not grease. This oil applying will reduce the temperature and increase the efficiency of cleaning.

Optimizing bearing seals, oil quality, and continue filtering reduces contamination and the environmental impact. In addition to that, continued filtering makes oil longer useful and improves machine parts cleaned without sacrificing quality.

Hello, if you want do maintenance on tyres, for example replacing a broken or chipped stud or you want to measure gap between tyres to reset the static gap, use high pressure water and wash away that iron concentrate layer. but when HPGR is operating, this layer is vital for tyre body surface protection.  Then don't remove it until you want to do maintenance job.  This layer becomes hard and if you feed HPGR  with the proper moisture of material (and no tramp irons in feed), tyres life times will reach even 40000 hours.

sorry foe bad english.
