My gold ore is contaminated with naturally occurring coal (namely graphite and anthracite).can naturally occurring coal (not activated carbon) have a negative impact on gold recovery if milled to -150 microns with an ore? Does naturally occurring coal have characteristics to adsorb gold?

Naturally occurring carbon (coal, graphite or just carbonaceous shale) is great (sic) for absorbing gold from leach solutions. This is with or without grinding, to 150 microns. Grinding gives more surface area and actually does some activation due to heating so it improves the ability of the natural carbon to absorb gold.
