How to calculate the evaporation loss and seepage loss of water from a Tailing Pond. If there is any thumb rule for calculation of above. Particularly I am looking for Iron ore Application. How to derive what will be the Net water which can be recycled and pumped to beneficiation plant.

Depends on when & where you operate. Water does not care if it is iron or copper ore.

Thanks for reply. I am talking about the case of India where it is always temperature hovers around 25 to 45 deg centigrade. In this case what will be the evaporation and seepage loss one shall consider from tailing pond.
