I want to know what iom iron ore tailing dam. What are the losses we need to consider from tailing dam.

Water recover from a tailings system is dependent on the characteristics of the material.  If the tails are low in clay and fines perhaps 50%, if the tails have a high amount of fines and clay 10% recover might be good.  Then you need to consider the environmental conditions and soilconditions under the pond.  High evaporation rates and highly porus soils (without a liner) can reduce these amounts significantly.

Thanks a lot sir. I want to know sir what is the percentage amount of water we can recover from Iron ore tailing dam. Ex if we throw 1000 m3/hr of water in tailing pond then how much water we will be able to recover.
