Hallo there

I want to use lime to increase the Ph from about 7 to anywhere between 9 - 10.5 in effluent for my experiment. How do i calculate the amount of lime to add into the effluent?

I have found that, at least with water treatment, calculations are not that reliable depending on what makes up your effluent and its starting pH.

I use a pH probe and scale to do a sample and then if effluent is same make up all the time get your mass based on your samples volume.

If the effluent is changing then pH feed back to a  controller and vibrator adding lime.

Shoot me any questions you may have
