Deluxe Rotary Sample Splitter

A 911MPELMRSD Rotary sample divider for the accurate division of bulk laboratory samples. For the representative dividing of bulk samples. Select from 2, 10, 30 or 60 Litre buckets.

Working Principle

The feed sample is fed at a controlled rate as a falling stream that is divided either into one part or into equal segments by the action of a “circle” of segmental buckets being rotated beneath the stream. The unit operates in accordance with internationally recognised sampling protocols.

The new Rotary Sample Slipper combines 3 modules in one machine.

Module 1:
Continuous module using a vibratory feeder and a sample cutter with an outlet to take one or more representative sample and to collect the reject.
Module 2:
Bucket module using a vibratory feeder and a set of sample buckets to divide the total granular sample amount into (4,6,8,10 or more samples).
Module 3:
Bottle module using a vibratory feeder and a set of sample bottles to divide the total powder sample amount into (4,6,8,10 or more samples).

The rotary table can be rotated manually in order to move each bucket to the desired position.

Continuous mode: Mostly used inline or when from 1 sample is needed from 1 batch/bag/barrel etc.
The continuous mode uses the hole in the middle to process the reject.

Bucket mode: using a bucket set (normally 8/10 or different on request) is to divide a batch into the same amount over the buckets.
Easily said, to split it into equal portions (buckets).

Bottle mode: Mostly the same as the bucket mode but now using bottles instead of buckets. In some applications/processes it is more convenient to have already divided into bottles.

Currently unique: we have made a custom collector/vibratory feeder to combine our 911MPELMC100D with an RSD. Processed material from the crusher falls directly onto a vibratory feeder going into the RSD. To ensure that the right size goes into the bottle we have a 2 layer feeder, on the top is a sieve with the required end-finesses. The material which is to large doesn’t pass the sieve and will remain on the top layer and will fall in the middle (reject) of the RSD (the client does need to have a reject collector under the machine). The material that is the right size will fall through the sieve on the lower layer and will fall in the bottle.

A sample simpler on wheels: 
All machines can be made with static frame or wheels or scissor-lift. As you see in the picture, this RSD 10L has been equipped with wheels.
The questions here is mostly if the costumer want to use it in multiple places or not and if ergonomics is a factor (since a 30/60L with reject can be quite high) If you work with smaller people it can be of use to have a scissor-lift to lower the machine for feeding and removing the buckets.

Large Bulk Bag Sampling

Complete sampling of a Big Bag

911MPE Rotary Sample Divider (up to 1600 Litres Volume) are an integral part of our big bag sampling solutions. The representative sampling of bulk materials is always a critical challenge. Especially when the sample has been transported for some distance (big bag) there is definitely segregation in the content and the chance of impurities is high. Experience shows that the bigger particles will be on top and the smaller particles will be at the bottom (brazil nut effect). To get away from hanging 1 ton of material in a crane, using a knife to open the big bag, it’s preferable to have a more controllable method. Besides the work, hanging a big bag in a crane is also a dangerous situation; ripping the ropes is a potential risk.
