Hi everybody,
Me and my team are working in a small plant (30-50 TPD) and we are continuously receiving new materials in order to make evaluations in a lab cell. Recently we have received a new yellow ore with more than 500 g/Ton of silver and 30% of Pb. The thing is that we try by several ways to concentrate it by flotation and even without MIBC the quantity of froth is ridiculous, the mass pull was of more than 30 % with just 800 g/Ton Ag and 33% pb. We use KAX and danafloat 271, and we try it with and without sulfurization and the same results were obtained. Any idea of how to work with this kind of ore.

Hello Omurvama,

what else can you tell us?  Photos/Video of a test? What are you grinding it at? Yellow as in 'clay rich'?

At 30% Pb you will get some 40 to 50% mass pull:

100 x 30% x 90% Rec / 60% Pb conc grade = 45% weight.

How much collector are you adding?

I may add some pictures of the next probe.
We are grinding 80% under 200 mesh and we add 15 gr/ton of promoter.
We have been asked to increase silver to at least 12 Kg no matter about lead
Do you think it is possible?

I think 15 g/t collector is not enough for the heads you got.  Add + collector until your froth get tight.

Do it visual:

Add collector, turn ON the air -> if frothy = turn OFF air and + add more collector.

Keep doing ON/OFF until you get good froth structure.

Start without much frother if you want. Add frother after you know you have enough collector in and froth is tight.
