It has been a common trend in flotation that the recovery of fine and coarse grains is low... I was thinking of using selective flocculation as a pre-treatment process to increase the recovery... is this possible?

Thanks David for responding.... I'm working on a phyllite mineralogy with pyrite as the predominant sulfide mineral... the metal is Au and the phyrite is barren (depressed at pH 9.5-11) but the gangue is fluorite intrusion... The current p80 is 75 microns ..... any suggestions for selective flocculation as pre-treatment since 5 % is lost as tails with 95% flotation recovcery
