How to improve the brightness of low grade talc ? (1 reply and 1 comment)

Brightness of feed talc is in the range of 65-70 and color is grey .

Objective : Final concentrate brightness >= 85 .

In Kaolin clay, alkyl hydroxamates are used in the flotation process to improve brightness.  Both crude clays and final product clays can be improved by using this collector in the flotation process.  I am not sure if the same can be done for talc, but I see no reason why not.

thanks Frank . I will conduct a flotation test work with alkyl hydroxamates and check the parameters ....
