Hello everyone!

I am doing PFS for sulfide copper and copper-zinc ore and according to our preliminary investigation, we get Cu concentrate with recovery 88-90%.

Does anybody knows worldwide deposits of the Sulfide copper ore or copper-zinc ore with the similar parameters or may be higher?

Regards,

Olga

The degree of oxidation has an impact on the copper recovery. You do not mention it. Other factor to keep in mind is the copper head grade. if your PFS s focus on a high copper grade (e.g. 1.5%), the copper recovery should be higher than 90%. If the ore has some degree of oxidation and/or the operating conditions are not the best, the copper recovery would not be higher than 90%.

Regarding the copper-zinc ore, your comments does mention the zinc recovery and the zinc head grade. If your design includes sequential flotation, it is necessary to evaluate the optimum zinc/copper ratio to get acceptable recoveries of both metals. If there were zinc oxide minerals, the zinc recovery would be affected negatively. Also the presence of marmatitic has an impact on the zinc recovery and zinc concentrate quality.

I suggest you search NI 43-101 for copper & copper-zinc deposits of similar type to the deposit you are studying. This will give some comparative results.

Thank you so much for your acceptance my request.  This is my first time to meet your website, in fact it is interesting and nice looking. I have a question about the flotation of ultra fine copper and zinc in volcanic massive sulfide ore.

Best regards!
