Hi all,

could somebody please tell me the typical top size/maximum size that can feed a Knelson and a Falcon?

There a several different size units, and each has a different top size feed as they are looking at different performance.  That said, in general, the top size is about 1/4" /6.35 mm/ 635 microns.  Larger sizes have been fed, but other devices work better on those sizes, in fact if the values you want to recover is coarser than 250 microns, tables and spirals are less expensive to purchase and operate.

Typically the recommended protection screen size would be 10M (2 mm).

They can handle particles up to 1/4" as SmartDog mentioned but you will see a massive increase in wear rates with minimal benefit at these sizes.
