We are looking for an efficient Nugget Trap design. Alluvial Gold Wash Plant - 75 tons per hour.

Anyone has a proofed efficient design? We found some on internet, but not sure if they are really effective.

If you are looking at trapping nuggets before the trommel the best method is to use large hole, say 3" x 1.5", heavy expanded metal steel sheets on any fibre matting.

Always keep it simple but strong.

Hi Deano, large hole means 3" deep? what's the expanded metal size would you recommend?

Looking vertically down at a piece of expanded metal sheet the diamond shapes are 3" long by 1.5" wide.

The depth of the holes is controlled by the thickness of the metal sheet before treatment, depends on what you have cheaply available.
