FOS Capacity & Level (1 reply)

1.Hello everyone.we have a FOS with a total capacity of around 3000tonnes. All the day at the end of every month we take the stock by deducting the total tonnes milled from total tonnes crushed of that month but this no longer continued bcz on time such deducted tonnes reached more than the FOS can contain. After that we started to use the data(figures) form the survey. How do think the survey data is much accurate so that will not be make any error in our metel reconcilation.

2.The second problem is the actual level(%) of FOS either during operation or shutdown time.

lets see the methods we used.

In the control room we have a level detectors as in the photo which detect the level of stock pile with a max of 13.That means if the central bar like graph reads 13, by our calculation it means it 100% full and if its bellow let say 9 we do a cross multiplication of 69.2 the same procedure for the left but when we check physically these reading is not as accurate as with what is there in the stock pile they have a large difference more in FOS.So dears could you suggest any idea or work experience in solving these issue.Thank you very much.
