Hello. I am working in a sand washing plant In India. We are using hydrocyclones to separate sand & clay. But these hydrocyclones are not performing well. We are using Stubby hydrocyclones so more amount of sand is sending to the overflow. We have increased the cyclone length but still now also sand is coming in the overflow. So we are planning to change part of the cyclone into conical shape. Will this try help us?
Right now we are using this type of hydrocyclone(image is attached). So sand is coming more in the overflow. So we are planning to change this stubborn hydrocyclones to conventional hydrocyclones. Is it possible to modify the exiting cyclones?
