I think we would need more information on what the issue is; type of liners, wear pattern, information about SAG mill operation strategy, etc.

Give us you current design, mill speed, mill size, ball size, F80, P80, current wear profile, wear-life data.

The above are valid requests for additional information, and I would add the need to review any test work used to determine abrasion index and grinding work index as well. In this manner one could review and consider if the current wear is far below original design, or within design, but unacceptable for other reasons.

Hello Epiphane, were you able to get the info requested above for the guys.It will be important to know the Size of the Mill and especially the Liner Type with its present Wear Life. There are options available which are working but before recommending / suggesting we need to understand the main issue. For eg. If it is Cast Steel liners then is the Life a concern due to Reliability or just the profile. Similarly, In case of a Composite Liner you would look at the Insert type etc.. There is no One Size Fits all thing.. Looking forward.

Cheers
