How does  mill power draw affect grindability?

Cart before the horse. The question I think should have been "How does grindability affect mill power draw". When you say grindability I assume that you mean, "How much size reduction can you achieve with a certain power input?". Using the Bond index will allow you to calculate how much power you need to put into the ore to reduce a throughput from a stated feed size to an 80% passing size. To put in that amount of power you need the correct steel load in the mill and percent of critical speed. The higher the Bond grinding index, the more power you need to input for the desired reduction.
