Reducing Recirulating load (2 replies)

Hi All,

What are the options for reducing circulating load while running the mill?

The tried and true method is to stop/reduce feed until the mill has time to grind out. I have heard also to increase dramatically the water to flush the mill out but does that not create a ripple affect on the cyclone feed pumps and cyclones?

Any other means of doing this?

Cheers

Hi Teggry,

If the ball mill is overflow discharge type you can increase the residence time and probability that particles be broken through the mill by increasing the percent solid in the ball mill feed. Remember the volume percent solid should not exceed 50% where slurry transport becomes a problem.
