SAG or Ball mill circuit in iron ore crushing&grinding (1 reply)

Hello everyone,

 

I would like to know which one is efficient in iron ore crushing and grinding circuit:

1. Jaw crusher+SAG mill+ ball mill
2. 3 stage crushing + 2 stage grinding (ball mill)

Without looking at the tonnages involved and the ore characteristics it cannot be determined. Both are efficient depending on your ore.  The actual efficiency of one over the other is dependent on the ore friability and grinding index and the the final size desired out of the circuit. 

This is why you usually have a study performed to help determine this.
