I am failing to measure my DMS vortex finder length during maintenance day because it quite difficult to access from the spigot end. Any suggestions guys?

How you guys measure vortex finder diameter without having to take cyclone apart.

you need to at least remove the overflow pipe

For most cyclones the overflow discharge is bolted to the outlet which is the vortex finder.  Removing the overflow pipe you can easily measure the diameter and then reaching inside you can measure the length.  It is a good idea to do this to check for wear on the vortex finder.
