Hello fello Metallurgist, i am facing one critical problem in our Process Plant though we have very poor grinding manual due to absence of liners and lifters to be replaced in the Mill as well as Pebble crusher for recycled scats and Cyclone Cluster for separations. Due to poor grinding manual am getting trouble during Met balance simply because 40% of loaded recovery carbon contain sands, also in all 6 CIL tanks carbon does not found , though density is maintain at 46% to 50% by solids. Also i have added 2 tonnes of carbon 2days previously but still the Carbon content in each tank become less, please help me for that circumstances

There is more information that is needed to understand your problem fully but if I were to venture a guess, I would say that you may be losing your carbon to attrition within the tanks. Is the leach solution decreasing in grade from one tank to the next? If so, you may have carbon fines loading with gold and passing through the intertank carbon screens and out to tails.
