Could somebody indicate me any Ag extracting method from Silver oxide batteries cells?

The silver oxide should be soluble in either nitric acid or aqueous ammonia and the silver can be recovered by electro-winning. Do the batteries have gold plating on one or more or of the contacts? If they do it would be worthwhile to recover the gold also.

Use aqueous ammonia with a small amount of nitric acid added but not enough to drop the pH below 7. The acid is needed to react with the oxide ion to make water. The only thing that I can think of for opening the SS shell is shearing or piercing it. All you have to do is expose the silver oxide to the lixivant.
