The first step is to perform cyanidation tests to evaluate the effect of different parameters on gold extraction. For example, NaCN strength, you can study three levels, 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 g/l. The pH and particle size are other parameters to consider. Bottle roll tests are a good option.

If the results are good, you can continue with column tests. The results will be useful to estimate the addition and consumption of NaCN and lime.
