Hello
I want to study on the efficiency of the transfer of carbon inter tank at the level of the CIL. What are the different settings I can perform to have concentrations conforming to the set-point?

Carbon transfer is normally based on the desired gold loading of the final carbon and the target solution losses in the final CIL tank.  Carbon concentrations in the CIL and the transfer rate are the two main variables in CIL carbon design along with carbon activity (stripped carbon return).  Carbon is normally transferred by pumping counter current to slurry flow with inter tank screens retaining the carbon in each tank.

There are many published papers on CIL design considerations and appropriate test work. I am not sure I answered your questions but please let me know.

Thank you. But the problem that arises is that the concentration that is in the different CIL is too high, for example the setpoint wants the concentration to be between 15-21g/L But when doing sample analyses we find 33g/L. How to remedy this. Thank you!!!!

I believe the first step would be establishing the required carbon concentration in the last tank and advance forward until target concentration is met in each cell. The remedy is not instant but will take some time, this is why tight controls should be placed on the carbon addition to the circuit. There is nothing worse than adding too much carbon and being forced to strip low grade, loaded carbon. Bottle roll tests should be performed to establish the loading kinetics of the carbon, from which you determine the appropriate concentration in your CIL tanks.
