I am operating a vat leaching, the problem is, when i load my tank and leach for 24 hrs, the first day color test will how black but second day shows grey, after unloading the tank and reload the same material, leaching again for 24 hrs, tests will how black for 3 days, then grey, then clear, what can I do to avoid unnecessary loading and unloading?

I need to solve the problem of loading and unloading so a to extract gold.

what minerals are present in your ore and their percentage and the chemicals your dosing in your tank

Au 6 g/t Cu 46 ppm S 1500 ppm As 1000,chemicals:sodium cyanide,lead nitrate for industry,sodium sulfide,hydrogen peroxide

for better oxidation reaction you should also add permanganate
-make sure that you blend the ore with enough lime before loading your tanks for mobility and to maintain pH
-make sure your ore is dry enough before loading so that cyanide solution can leach in every part

@ Mpiga it seems your leaching technology is Vat. If so what is the reason of using sodium sulphide and hydrogen peroxide in your reaction system? in a static leaching hydron peroxide ,oxidise cyanide hence reducing free cyanide for gold dissolution.
Therefore stop dosing both sodium sulphide and hydrogen peroxide whist maintaining the pH of your system at 10.3 and high cyanide concentratio

Are you adding air to your leach tank?

You should be able to leach in a single batch - what is cyanide level at start?  You should maintain 200 ppm or so and then let it decay to 50 ppm towards end of leach.

What color are you discussing - solution?

mineralogical composition:Au =6g/t,Cu 46 ppm,cyanide at barren starts with 3000 ppm,end of the leach ,ppm of cyande remains 1100,I am using hydrogen peroxide as source of oxygen.

One aspect which we ignore is the particle size and dry moisture content of the ore.

you nees to dry the tailings ,reduce the size into powder and mix with lime.

During your solution dosing, let the dosing take at least 6hrs. Then leave for 48hrs.
