We have high grade deposit and traditional mining. W e have leached gold into cyanide solution but due to cost of electrowinning cell and power unavailibility in the desert we get stuck, any idea how to recover that gold from the solution without electrowinning or ship electrowinning procedure ?

Hi,

Merrill Crowe zinc precipitation?

The Merrill Crowe process has an advantage over the carbon adsorption process in cases where the metal concentrations are high, such as ores containing significant amounts of silver; high silver to gold ratios. Zinc cementation can also be applied to the recovery of precious metals from carbon strip solutions as an alternative to direct electrowinning.

Carbon in leach has the advantage over Merrill Crowe when ores contain significant levels of organic carbon, high base metal concentrations and when the ore contains high clays, which are difficult to filter.

Guelb22, Did you ever get it figured out. I am in a the similar situation. I a going with cyanide but dont understand how. I have arsenic and sulfide with fine gold. The arsenic and sulfur has really messed me up for other ways. Was told to use cy. But never had and dont know how. Any assistance you can offer would be great. Using zinc precipitate.
