What would be a good DO dissolved oxygen ppm level in the leach tanks? I am leaching a silver rich ore with 100 to 600 g/t in feed.

Have you done any lab scale agitated leach tests? What was successful in the lab?

charlie, at sea level and 20C, O2 saturation is 8 ppm. i would target for saturation

Thanks. No Lab data. Plant is @ 500 meter + sea level in 30 degrees C pulp.

You should be able to achieve 7ppm O2 at your altitude. If you are lower increase aeration or add supplemental O2. If you have sulfides present, your first couple of mix tanks will tend to be lower as the sulfides will consume oxygen also. Cyanidation rates are oxygen dependent, increased oxygen will increase your dissolution rate.

Think of boosting your oxygen level in the tanks by adding 50 to 100ml hydrogen peroxide 50% in your tanks. You could raise the O2 content above the natural level to boost dissolution rate

You can go up 22 ppm O2 and you will see a great difference.
