Hello Process Engineers

In a CIL circuit, does pre-aration to increase DO levels, always result in  the benefits of

  1. reduced cyanide consumption
  2. improved gold recovery

Preaeration does not always result in benefits but it will not hurt the process.  Typically it is used when you have high cyanide consumers such as sulfides and the preaeration oxidizes the surfaces to reduce consumption.  It will also reduce the leach DO demand.

In most leach circuits preaeration is not required.
