I am doing some research for the smelting of DORE, I need some basic information on the cost of raw cathode gold containing 75% Au and 20% Ag in the DORE.

Thanks

Hi David, Thanks for your prompt reply. how much it will cost to produce the gold in the cathode prior to smelting. Considering from Acid Washing to Electrowinning

Commercial stripping plants charge around $2250 Aust Dollars per ton of carbon.

This covers the initial acid wash of the carbon through to the production of the gold on the cathode prior to aciding out the steel wool.

Aciding out the steel wool is a further $100 per batch and the actual smelt is a further $350.

These are gross prices and include the profit margin.

Not surprisingly there is not a lot of information available on what the profit margin is.
