I am looking for companies who have expertise with designing/fabricating/operating vertical carbon adsorption columns in heap leach CIC circuits.

Thanks. A message was sent via the website. Just to clarify I am looking for information on vertical 'stacked' columns, not the typical cascade or carousel arrangement.

KSHERREN, Hopefully, you mean standard up flow carbon columns, and not the stacked carbon columns being foisted on the market.

Unfortunately not. I have inherited responsibility for several sets of stacked columns processing about 250 m3/hr of heap leach pregnant solution upflowing through columns consisting of 5 stacked 'segments'. First time I have ever seen them and I have to confess that their performance is reasonable. You mention 'foisted' which implies some hands on experience. Anything you can share?

Our company has extensive experience designing CIC columns and ADR circuits for heap leaches.  We have just recently designed two large-scale systems one in Europe and one in the USA. Contact us if you want to commision a design and installation.

Thanks Todd. Any specific experience with vertical (stacked) carbon columns in a heap leach CIC circuit?

Hi ksherren - I have an inexpensive and simple design that will interest you. I am doing one at the moment for a vat leach in Aus. Cheers

Hello Ksherren,

We have supplied many CIC systems as both traditional cascade type and vertical for heap leach operations.  We can assist with the design, engineering, and supply.  Please email me directly and we can discuss your project in detail.

Thanks

Mike

'stacked column' sounds like a NIMCIX Column first used for dirty uranium filtrate contacting resin, semi fluidised mode, in stages separated by perforated plates in one tall column. You can find reference to this on google.

Yes I have heard them referred to by that acronym. I believe they were first developed in South Africa and as you mention for uranium ion exchange/resin processing. Hard to find good information or general arrangement drawings however. Thanks
