Cyanide reagent substitute Flotent Gold SC 570? (2 replies and 3 comments)

Who knows about the cyanide reagent substitute Flotent Gold SC 570?

I have a substitute cyanide. Flotent gold SC 570. Anyone doing research on leaching with its use? I have a problem with the definition of its solution. The technique is said that he is also defined as cyanide.

10 ml (Flotent) + 0.1 ml (KJ) + AgNO3 (drop by drop) = no color change

Then, I did the opposite

AgNO3 (10 mL), 0.1 mL (KJ) + flotent (drop by drop) = the color varies from light yellow to clear.

As a result it turned out that I have the solution contains 0.003% flotent, but I prepared it in a concentration of 10%

where is the mistake ?

What is the composition of Flotent i.e. what reagents does it contain...thiosulfate, thiocyanate, bromide, iodide, ferricyanide etc... refer link below for scams:

I think that the bromine. Did you tell me how better analysis to determine the chemical composition of the agent? Chtmical name: containing Na2O, N, H2O, Ca, Fe, NH4 and others

Mikhail, how could I contact you to discuss some issues regarding Flotent use?

Hello Mikhail + Bhaduri,

There has been discussion recently in media and forums about cyanide-free gold leaching reagents. All gold leaching reagents contain cyanide.

However, maybe a more environmentally-free gold leaching reagent - EarthGold, media discussions with the manufacturers of these products have revealed to us that EarthGold 600 is the most environmentally-friendly gold leaching reagent on the market. Yes, it does contain some CN but it is much lower than conventional sodium cyanide reagents.

As it has been explained by the inventors of the product and in discussions with the manufacturer, further supported by testing undertaken by ALS Beijing shows the EG600  product is 10% or 20% cyanide, hence it is a lower cyanide content GLR.  The cyanide is locked with iron in the GLR and no toxicity has been detected. When testing is conducted as per normal testing for cyanide, it releases the free cyanide so the amount of cyanide in the product appears very high, but its toxicity is lower and why it is recognised as a normal chemical for transportation. The amount of cyanide in EarthGold is lower than sodium cyanide.

They use Fe to lock in the CN. CN may be detected from the Fe-clathrate, but when CN is clathrated with Fe, the CN has no toxicity in the solids of the product.
