How selective is ammonium chloride when precipitating Pt from aqua regia? For example, will it also precipitate base metals from aqua regia?

You will need to consult a chemistry reference book (CRC) for the various solubilities of metal chlorides to find out.  Most base metals are fairly soluble in the chloride state.
