In any magnetic separator there is some gap maintained in between two matrix plates likewise 1 to 1.5 mm. Feed in the form of slurry is introduced on the matrix plates. Feed slurry comprises of range of particles ( 45 micron to 150 micron). My question is when feed is introduced larger or smaller, which particle will be attracted towards plates first.
what is the best flow sheet design for operation of WHIMS, either in single stage or in two stage ( rougher - cleaner combination). What will be the maximum and minimum size of particle which can be captured by WHIMS/ HGMS.
What is the difference between Back ground Intensity and Induced Intensity in WHIMS/HGMS. How we will measure both.
