Passivation of stainless steel (No replies)

Hello, I am working in a company specialised in stainless steel process. Currently, we use nitric acid to passivate steel, but we want to change that, and use hydrogen peroxide. We work on martensitic and austenitic mainly.

If someone is working with baths composition based on peroxide, i would appreciate some help to make my own one. Furthermore, do you know some instruments to measure the thickness of the passive layer? I have to quantify it, not only check if it is passivated or not.

Thank you
