What is the permissible NTU(Turbidity) for Foundry Sand?

What market area are you in? Depending on the quality characteristics of nearby sand deposits and the impact of shipping cost, specifications vary within North America and globally.

See the following for discussions re sand specifications.

I see mention of 250 NTU for frac sands and occasional mention of < 100 NTU for foundry sand. However, more often the foundry sand seems to show PSD and not NTU in specifications.
