Ways to recycle concrete (1 reply)

Hi, I am currently doing a study on the reuse of concrete (to avoid landfill) and I am looking for applications within the mining industry.

Smelting is one option, as the heat would allow for any contaminants within the concrete to be destroyed in the process.

I have a concrete of approx 6% quartz and 35% and wondering wheather this would be of use or applicable to smelting (I understand this might be a stretch of the imagination!)

Could milled concrete have any application in smelting process? as a flux?

Many thanks!

Something like this? A dutch company recycles on site, and so on.
