In bench tests for testing the amenability of a pyrite roaster, is the air continually added throughout the test, or is it just added at the start?

Air is supplied throughout the whole test.  The idea is to oxidize all the sulfide so the reaction requires an excess of air to make sure there is no oxygen limitations.
