i would like to know the process and some technical details to process copper metal with recovering of gold by electrowinning, could any please suggest how to start with....is it possible to recover gold from electrowinning of copper metal (dross or ingot form.)....

on the beginning i would to know the minerals composition, ore type, grade of copper, gold , silver, ...etc.

generals i suggests flotation sell to concentrate the ore.

Ingot copper may be refined electrolytically. Any precious metals will settle as a mud called refinery slimes. Goggle 'refinery slimes' for suggestions on process of recovery of gold, silver, PGE from slimes.

I would Prepare an electrolyte made of copper sulphate and sulphuric acid then contact the ingot on the + side with a graphite rod and the - on a stainless steel plate using a high DC current. The copper will plate on the stainless steel and the gold and silver precipitating in front of the ingot as a black mud. The mud could be clean up with nitric acid and then smelted.

If the alloy is very low in gold and silver and show activity when you place a drop of nitric acid, you could re-smelt it and then pour the liquid metal in water to for prills and then do a nitric acid attack on the prills these depend of the percentage of gold in the alloy.
