Silver electrolysis (1 reply)

I have 26 kg of pure silver nitrate I am going to make to metal using aluminum, copper or zinc metal. Which solution is easiest to dispose of safely? I want to refine the silver sludge using electrolysis. Will I have to dry it and melt it into an electrode? Also I only have a car battery charger as a power source. Is this feasible?  Can I add an external resistor to lower the current? Thanks. Any tips welcome! Alternatively, anyone want to buy the AgNO3 crystals?

Pure AgNO3 is already suitable for electrolysis without reducing silver with Zn, Cu, Al. 1H18N9T steel electrodes or similar. Voltage below 5V, preferably 0.5-2V.
AgNO3 solution must be acidified with HNO3 to pH 4-5.
You can also make pure silver from nitrate by reduction with hydrazine N2H4 x H2O. Note here !!!
It foams very much - you need a large vessel so that the foam does not escape, because there will be losses.
Good luck!
P.S. I would like to buy AgNO3, but due to the transport to Europe (Poland) it would be unprofitable
