The new North-American list Forbes 400, recently published, reveals the names of the richest men in the country, but there are only two miners in this roster. Let’s know more about them.

The former Glencore executive Tor Peterson joined the mining company in 1992, after leaving the New York-based firm Phibro-Salomon, where he worked as a commodities specialist.

According to this latest list published by Forbes, the 49-year-old entrepreneur has an estimated net worth of $2 billion and occupies the 273º position in the ranking. He dropped from the 218º position, which he occupied last year.

The coal magnate is the second ranked miner on Forbes list of richest Americans. Justice inherited coal operations in West Virginia and is currently ranked in the 342º position with a net worth of $1.6 billion.

Although he made some smart investments this year, Jim Justice II also suffered with the worlwide fall of commodity prices, going from the 298º position in 2012 to his current place.
