Our ore is a very clay minerals, thus in the scrubber, very hard "clay balls" is forming become oversize of our screens and then send to the reject, but those clay balls contains low grade nickel and cobalt. (we are a ore preparation plant of nickel and cobalt).

Do anyone has suggestion on how to avoid the formation of the clay balls in the scrubber ? (tire drive scrubbers)

First thought is you are overloading your scrubber.  Second is you are not using enough water.  Or most likely both.

Hi Leocent,

Clay balls are always an issue with the basic scrubber design, the rolling action being perfect for their formation.

There is a way to overcome this issue, but a redesign of your feed prep section will be required.
