It is important to know if you performed any cyanidation tests to get some preliminary information.  Hematite is almost insoluble in a cyanide solution and the gold dissolution rate should not be affected. A mineralogical study is useful to know the mineralogical specimens, the gold particle size, and the gold bearing minerals. The cyanidation testing program should evaluate the effect of particle size and NaCN strength on gold dissolution. The natural pH should be determined too.

If the gold extraction is low, it would be necessary to evaluate the effect of preliminary treatments such as roasting and acid leaching before cyanidation.
