we have several quality issues at magnesite mine (ultramafic alteratoin type). we are sampling 1 sample from blasthole material which depth in 4 meter for each hole to grade conrolling ROM.

several quality issue is recorded. the mine material quality become top priority.

sampling level applied at mine

1- blasthole sampling

2- composite sample from convey of screening line

3- composite sample from sorter system production.

4- grab sampling the dispatch heap to the customer.

what is the best sampling procedure for magnesite ore and what is the needed quality assurance system.

I think it is also important to know the location of the sample. Blast hole sampling is the only one that gives you the location information. So I will keep this one for sure.

I will try to reconcile the 4 data sets. At the end of the day they are sampling the same material, correct?...the individual deviations seen in the recon process could be related to the specific characteristics of the sampling process and based on that I will try to improve the process, replaced by a new one or simply eliminate it.
