The gangue is dolomite and ore is malachite, chrysocolla and heterogenite.

my response was from the very narrow perspective of a metallurgist. do you know, the quality, value and recoverable  quantity of the gems? i have no idea what malachite is worth, but only that it is expensive when part of jewelry i have purchased for my wife. have you done any ore body evaluation or testing?

The project is in the African Copper Belt and they are recovering (oxide) copper minerals which includes malachite.

Do you know of other successful 1Mtpy Heavy/Dense Medium Separation plants? I know that there are a few down there but I do not know their performance.

What kind of problems to expect with these kind of plants?

What are the processing costs associated with this method?

Hi

I am working in a HMS plant recovering malachite.

Chrysocolla is difficult to recover, but not impossible. Heterogenite cannot be recovered as it is fragile.

We have operated a 350 tph plant and two 100 tph plants. Recovery of absolute copper depends on the concentrate grade required and feed grade available.

Will be happy to answer any further questions..

Regards

Krishna
