SAG mill power calculation in SAB(C) circuit design (1 reply)

How can we calculate the power of a SAG mill in a SAB circuit for a greenfield project. From Morrell's Power based equation, we can calculate the total energy for the circuit, but how can we split the energy between SAG and ball mill from the total energy? What would be an appropriate transfer size for SAG power calculation for a new SAB circuit? or if there are other equations available for this (not involving transfer size).

The simplest method would be to use stabdard SAG and ball mill energy calc and then subtract from the total.

To calculate SAG and ball mil energy see  SDM Mill CalculationsPerform ball, rod, pebble, AG, and SAG calculations (currently in imperial units only).  Also calculate gross grinding energy requirements from Bond  work index , feed and product size.
