Viton rubber plugs on ball mill (1 reply)

What are the reasons of failure of viton rubber plugs in a ball mill? Can iron fines produced during dry grinding accelerate the process of rubber failure?
One of the reasons will be self hardening due to continuous exposure to high temperature. Although I'm not able to find any document to verify this numerically.
